Pensive Ponderings

Reflections on things that matter.

About

My name is Regina, and I am a writer. I recently graduated with a MA in Theological studies, and I have an  undergraduate degree in English. The content of this blog is generally one of three genres: poetry, theological/philosophical discourse, and personal (often spiritual) observations (I have also, as of this summer, taken to writing book reviews to document my summer reading).

I opened this blog account in order to publicly write about things I see  around me, particularly my observations about Christianity and church. There are many things within the world of “Christianity” that continue without discussion or question, and some of those things are crippling the church. Some of my blogs exist to bring light and conversations to some of these touchy subjects.

Often, my blog musings take the form of poems. There are some things that prosaic communication just does not convey with accuracy. Some concepts, spiritual, personal, and introspective, reach more people more easily in poetry than in flat, strait essay forms, and so I post my poems to engage the pathos of my readers.

Thank you for visiting my page, and I hope you enjoy my blog!
